Spilimbergo hosts two major sport events every summer: the bocci Italian championship, including the bocci “Gran Premio Città di Spilimbergo” (special award “City of Spilimbergo”), and the International Chess Open.

16th International Chess Open Spilimbergo

Location: Centro Sportivo La Favorita

One of the most important tournament in Italy, it hosts about 300 chess players from 40 countries.
Special guest: the Italian Grande Maestro Michele Godena.
