Art&Mosaico is an event dedicated to the form of art that has made Spilimbergo famous worldwide. It takes place every two years during spring’s warmest months.

Art&Mosaico is a tribute to mosaic art – the flagship of Spilimbergo and Friuli – in all its forms. Artist and mosaic specialist Giulio Candussio is the artistic director of the event.

Artisans, artists, architects, and industry experts gather for a long weekend dedicated to all the aspects of this form of art, its traditional applications (such as sacred art), and contemporary uses with the most innovative architectural styles.
Mosaic art is an extremely fascinating and concrete form of art with its own rules and language that have often been forgotten. The themes and solutions it suggests fascinate even contemporary architects.

And this combination of mosaic art and modern architecture is one of the goals of this event wanted by the Municipality of Spilimbergo and included among the Perle di Mosaico (Mosaic Pearls) project.
