August is the hottest month for the city of mosaics. Exhibitions, re-enactments, shows, and fireworks liven up the summer days and nights.

Agosto Spilimberghese is the umbrella event that encompasses all the initiatives that take place in Spilimbergo in August. Activities change every year, but exhibitions, music events (open-air concerts or shows in more intimate venues), plays, sports tournaments, and flea markets are always on. One of the most fascinating events is the Macia historical re-enactment, which ends with spectacular fireworks over Palazzo di Sopra.

The events are organised by the Pro Spilimbergo (Spilimbergo Promotion Office) and are part of the Perle di Mosaico (Mosaic Pearls) project of the Municipality of Spilimbergo. The official programme is usually published in early summer.
